Persija Appreciates Governor for Realization of JIS

The Persija Jakarta soccer club, known as Jakmania appreciated the Jakarta Governor who immediately realized Jakarta residents' dream to have an international-scale stadium, the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).

Benhard Sitorus, Chief Media and Membership Engagement Persija Jakarta said the stadium with a capacity of 82,000 spectators was a long wait for Persija who wanted to have their own home ground and their proud home base.

"Our thanks to the governor. This is an excellent facility as Persija's home ground stadium," he expressed, Tuesday (2/15).

He assessed JIS needs to be maximized for coaching and developing sports, especially football in the capital city.

He hoped that it could bring good luck to Persija and become a balanced meeting point in the future. Where Persija as the team that owned the most trophies in league 1 and JIS, became the first modern stadium in Indonesia that carried the Green Building concept and retractable roof technology.

"This is a huge potential for JIS to be maximized, not only for Jakmania, but football lovers," he added.

He also gave a positive comment to PT Jakpro which has consistently opened up to cooperate with Persija to support the advancement of sports achievements in Jakarta. It is in compliance with was the Governor's instructions who requested that the use of JIS be prioritized for football clubs from Jakarta.

"The Governor's main goal, this facility can be maximized for the common good," he closed.
